Anonymous asked: How did you take that sketch of your portrait from the beginning draft to the digital one you created?
After I did the initial sketch in graphite, I go over it with an ink pen, erase the pencil lines and scan it into my laptop. Then I bring it over to Photoshop where I mess with the layers and clean the piece a bit with the ‘clone tool.’ Then I start adding layers and placing flat or gradient colors over the initial piece. I usually use the ‘multiply’ and ‘lighten’ layers to see how I want the colors to react together with the lines. Just a lot of experimenting with textures and soft colors.
