When do you use a different type of brush? Like round, flat and that angled one? I have no idea how to use the flat and angled ones when it comes to watercolor. You need the round ones for that.. right?
Urgh I never use any type of angled brush when it comes to watercolor. It doesn’t offer the “soft” feel that I want with watercolors.
But it’s up to each user. For different techniques you might use different brushes. But I always stick to round tips with watercolor.
Are you ever working on a piece that you begin to love, and then do something that you think has ruined it? How do you get past that and continue with (especially if it's something you can't start again, for whatever reason)?
Ugh yes. But I just keep on going or I set it down for whenever I feel like working on it again. Sometimes I do start over though.
I would power through it, but if your mood turns sour as you are working on it, I don’t think the piece is ever going to satisfy you.
I just went to my school’s Senior Survey (which is a final presentation of student’s year long projects/works) and it was AMAZING. Some illustration stuff really blew my mind and I need to take a nap and draw forever after I wake up.
It’s going to be insane when I’m a senior. I hope my stuff will eventually develop, if not at the same level, better. So inspired and motivated!
